Why CNC?
Computer numerical control provides an exact and repeatable way to cut complex shapes into materials where the workpiece and cutter movement are precisely controlled to less than 0.025 mm.
J C Smale's CNC machines can perform a vast number of very complex operations, such as slot and keyway cutting, planing, drilling, diesinking, rebating, routing, etc.
CNC machining normally starts from a CAD/CAM program or drawings that provide specific data on the required dimensions. Once the initial machining program has been developed and loaded, the program can be run time and time again to efficiently (and cost effectively) produce the same exact outcomes.
