Overview
Palm Oil Plantations produce valuable oils and mountains of empty fruit bunch waste.
Until recently the waste fruit bunches have been dumped or burnt – both environmentally unsatisfactory.
J C Smale have designed, manufactured and installed processing plants which take the empty fruit bunch and process it by breaking down the fibrous material, screening, drying and baling it ready for export to be used in the manufacture of mattresses, sleeping mats and, in combination with the resin, to extrude a composite board used in new fibre pallet technology.
